Refund Policy
How refunds work at Temp Number, including 2-hour self-service number refunds and how your wallet balance is handled.

This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds are issued for purchases made on Temp Number ("we," "us," or "our") and how your wallet balance works. By using our Services, you agree to this Refund Policy. If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].
Refunds go to your wallet: Eligible refunds are credited as wallet balance, not back to your original payment method.
Wallet balance is non-refundable: Funds added to your wallet cannot be withdrawn or refunded to your card or crypto wallet.
Wallet balance never expires: Your wallet credit stays available for future purchases with no expiry date.
1. Self-Service Number Refunds (2-Hour Window)
In Short: If a number doesn't work for you, cancel it yourself within 2 hours for a full wallet refund.
When you purchase a temporary phone number, you can cancel it directly from your dashboard and receive a full refund to your wallet, as long as the cancellation is requested within 2 hours of the original purchase and the number remains refund-eligible (see Section 2). This is designed so that if a number does not receive your verification SMS, you are not charged for it.
To protect against abuse, a short minimum waiting period (a few minutes) applies after purchase before a number becomes eligible for self-service cancellation.
2. Refund Eligibility Conditions
In Short: The number must be within the time window and must not have received any SMS.
A number is eligible for a self-service refund only when all of the following are true:
- The cancellation request is made within 2 hours (120 minutes) of the original purchase.
- At least a few minutes have passed since purchase (a short anti-abuse waiting period).
- The number has received zero SMS messages. Once a number has received any message, the service has been delivered and it is no longer refund-eligible.
- The number has not already been cancelled or refunded.
If any of these conditions are not met, the purchase is final and a refund cannot be issued automatically.
3. How Refunds Are Issued
In Short: Eligible refunds are credited to your Temp Number wallet.
All eligible refunds are issued as wallet credit to your Temp Number account. We do not refund purchases back to your original payment method (such as your card or cryptocurrency wallet). Wallet credit is applied instantly when a self-service cancellation is approved, and you can use it immediately toward any future purchase on the platform.
4. Wallet Balance
In Short: Wallet balance is non-refundable, but it never expires.
Funds that you add to your wallet (top-ups), and any refunds credited to your wallet, are non-refundable. Wallet balance cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or refunded back to your card, bank account, or cryptocurrency wallet.
However, your wallet balance never expires. Any credit in your wallet remains available indefinitely for future purchases on Temp Number, with no expiry date and no inactivity fees.
5. Failed or Non-Delivered Numbers
In Short: If something goes wrong outside the self-service window, contact support.
If you purchased a number and experienced a genuine service failure that the self-service cancellation flow does not cover, please contact us at [email protected] with your order details. We will review eligible cases and, where appropriate, credit your wallet. We aim to review such requests promptly.
6. Fraud, Abuse, and Chargebacks
In Short: Fraudulent refunds and chargebacks lead to account termination without refund.
Using our Services for fraud, abuse, or any prohibited activity, or initiating a chargeback or payment dispute in bad faith, may result in immediate suspension and permanent termination of your account without refund, including forfeiture of any remaining wallet balance. Refund and cancellation features are provided in good faith and may be revoked from accounts that abuse them. This Refund Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.
7. How to Request a Refund
In Short: Use the dashboard for self-service refunds, or email support for everything else.
For eligible numbers within the 2-hour window, open your dashboard, go to My Numbers, and use the Cancel & Refund option on the relevant number. The refund will be credited to your wallet automatically once approved. For any other refund question, contact [email protected] and include your order ID.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
