What is a virtual number for OTP?

It is a phone number you use once to receive a one-time code (OTP) by SMS, for example when an app asks you to confirm a new account. You pick the app and a country, enter the number in the app, and the code appears in your dashboard.

Is a virtual number for OTP the same as a temporary number?

It works like one, but it is private: the number is yours alone for one verification, and you pay only if the code arrives. Free public numbers are shared, so anyone can read the codes. Browse free temporary numbers.

How much does it cost?

Prices start at $0.20 and depend on the app and the country. Half of our 6,188 apps have a starting price of $0.28 or less. Numbers are paid from your wallet, and top-ups start at $10. Every service page lists the current price in each country, and you only pay if the code arrives.

What if no code arrives?

Not every number gets a code, and you are not charged when it does not. The price is only held while you wait. If no code arrives, it goes back to your wallet automatically when the timer ends, or you can tap Cancel & refund after a few minutes and try another number.
